Decide what can be done properly in one visit
We begin by walking around the area concerned to see what genuinely needs attention and what is reasonable to handle as light gardening. This also makes it possible to rule out straight away anything requiring work at height, heavy equipment or a specialist.
If several small tasks are possible, we agree the priorities together according to the time available, the condition of the garden and what is causing the most inconvenience day to day.
I then carry out the agreed maintenance one area at a time without trying to completely transform the garden. The aim is to tidy, clear, trim or maintain what can reasonably be handled with simple equipment.
At the end, I gather the small amounts of green waste from the work as agreed and we take a final look together to make sure the result matches what you wanted.
