Clear instructions before you leave
Before your absence, we agree together on what should be checked during each visit: access points, rooms, mail, visible equipment or any other simple item you want included. We also agree on how often visits should take place and how I should report back to you.
During each visit, I follow that list methodically so the check does not depend on memory or a general impression. I only look at what has been agreed and what remains accessible without technical intervention.
If everything appears normal, I confirm that using the method we agreed. If something looks unusual, I send you the useful information and contact you promptly so that you can decide what should happen next.
The final visit can also be used to check the agreed points before you return and clearly flag anything that may still need attention.
